STACK Infrastructure Joins Data Center Coalition, Red Cross in Blood Drive Efforts

Three-week DataCentersSleeveUp event brings data center community together to support local community in conjunction with International Data Center Day on March 23 

Denver, COLORADO — March 8, 2022 — STACK Infrastructure (“STACK”), the digital infrastructure partner to the world’s most innovative companies, is excited to announce its participation in a joint-effort blood drive led by the Data Center Coalition (DCC), Loudoun County Economic Development, and the American Red Cross of Loudoun and Prince William Counties. The three-week campaign will provide the data center community in Northern Virginia and across the U.S. with an opportunity to collaborate to help address a national blood shortage, which the American Red Cross recently called “the worst blood shortage in over a decade, posing a concerning risk to patient care.”  

The ‘DataCentersSleeveUp’ campaign occurs during the American Red Cross Month and runs through March 23, which is both International Data Center Day and Red Cross Giving Day. From now until March 23, anyone in the U.S. can pledge to donate blood via STACK’s pledge page. Actual blood donations can be made through April 30.

 STACK Infrastructure recognizes the importance of ensuring adequate blood supply in the communities where STACK teams live and work, and in raising awareness of the need to address the current critical national blood shortage. Through this campaign, the data center community has an opportunity to collectively roll up sleeves and make an important contribution to the health and welfare of the surrounding communities.

In a recent press release, Josh Levi, president of the Data Center Coalition stated: “The Data Center Coalition is thrilled to partner with both Loudoun County Economic Development and the American Red Cross of Loudoun and Prince William Counties to help address the shortage of blood across the United States. By bringing together data center owners, operators and our ecosystem at large, we are able to better serve the communities and people where we work and live.”
